Los Angeles Police Department Cadet Day

As a charitable contribution to the Los Angeles Community Officer Gary Beecher of the Olympic Division and Paul P. Marin of the Mount Baldy Ski Patrol  arranged a day of skiing and snowboarding for the most deserving cadets.  These fine young men and women that participate in the Los Angeles Police Department Olympic Area Cadet Program were invited up for a fun day of skiing, snowboarding and barbecuing.  Many of these kids had never been in the snow, but it only took them a few minutes to adjust to the altitude and environment.  Officer Gary Beecher, Patroller Paul P. Marin and Mount Baldy Ski Lifts, Ski Rentals and Ski Schools set-up a day of fun and excitement for this excellent group of kids.  It was a great day and a great experience for all.  The kids were shown what the ski patrol does, what they carry in their vest and the training that is required to do the job at the level that is expected.  A great time was had by all!
